Cinderella cropped without wordsGoing to Disney World for the first time, I wanted to try to fit in as much as we could in three days.  Given that Ella is 4yrs and obsessed with princesses, the overwhelming consensus was that we needed to spend the majority of our time at Magic Kingdom.  In addition to Magic Kingdom, we also visited Animal Kingdom and Epcot which were all so different but such an amazing experience.  Where else can you have a meal with princesses, see a gorilla and giraffe, then try food from several different countries made and served by those who were flown over from that country all in one day!

Packing my child’s lunch is my 2nd JOB!

I remember as a child getting either the standard PB&J or baloney sandwiches along with an apple or banana and water or a can of pop packed in your standard brown paper bag (yes – I got a can of pop in my lunches!  Crazy eh?).

Ella started junior kindergarten in September and I am surprised that they already get homework!  Not sure if this is normal but I don’t recall this being the case when I was a child.  Of course I welcome the opportunity for her to learn but I wonder if this is too much too soon?  This also increases the expectation for parent participation since she’s too young to read the instructions which means homework for me as well!  (more…)
